The media adapter means that individualised entertainment has now become mobile. Compatible Apple devices such as the iPod™ or iPhone™ can be conveniently integrated into the vehicle and charged at the same time using the media adapter. This allows music saved on such devices to be played over the car speakers. Depending on the BMW model and equipment, it may also be possible to show cover art or play videos on the car display. The iPod™ or iPhone™ is operated via the car’s own built-in system: per iDrive Controller, multifunction buttons on the steering wheel or the radio. Users can always rest assured that the electronics and cable lengths are perfectly suited for the vehicle.
