To facilitate individualised listening pleasure while on the road, compatible Apple devices like an iPod™ or iPhone™ can be integrated into the car and charged using the BMW music adapter. The adapter makes it possible to play music stored on the respective device, which can also be operated via the iDrive Controller, multifunction steering wheel or the radio. This also allows users to search for tracks on the vehicle display based on the artist, album, playlist or genre. Depending on the vehicle model and equipment, it may also be possible to show album covers on the car display or play videos.
