Technical Information:
- Can be fitted to all M3 and 1 Series M Coupe cars.
- Airbag unit and finisher are taken from the M sports steering wheel.
- On cars with SA 248 (heated steering wheel), the heating function is disabled. Decoding is not required; the switch for steering wheel heating no longer works.
- For the M Performance steering wheel, no subsequent entry is required in the vehicle paperwork or any operating permit that must be carried. The approval is covered for the corresponding cars from BMW’s perspective by the general EC permit.
